“I’ve been guiding for salmon and steelhead along the Oregon coast (outside of Tillamook) and Alaska for 15+ years. In the mid 90’s I purchased my first Clackacraft drift boat and I have been a fan ever sense. It really was a no brainer, after rowing heavy aluminum boats for years.
I currently row an 18 foot ClackaMax and wouldn’t give it up for the world. It has lots of room for fishing fish and plenty of storage for my clients and my own gear. I’m able to get on the river earlier in the season when water levels are low because of the innovative design of the 18 foot Max.
